AUTISM INSIDE OUT INTRODUCTION

I am not a doctor although I heal many aches and pains. I am not a therapist although I work daily to help someone with special needs. I am not an expert but I know him inside and out. I am the mother of a child with Autism. My belief, like so many parents with a child who falls under the Spectrum of Autism is that recovery begins within your child. Like most of you who will read this book, I earned my degree through many sleepless nights of researching and reading books and Articles. I tried out various diets, Traditional therapies, Alternative treatments & numerous supplements.  I learnt from the finest teachers in the Autistic community, The Parents of Autistic children. I am not a wealthy person but what I lack in dollars, I make up for with determination. I am and was determined to find effective inexpensive ways to change my son’s life.  My child entered early intervention at the age of 17 months old with a cognitive score of a 3 month old. After introducing a new diet, supplements and various alternative treatments six months later at the age of 23 months my son’s cognitive score was of a 15 month old with scattered skills up to a 19 month old and he said his first word “Mumma”. My son made a dramatic improvement and has since continued to shine. This blog is a compilation of diets information and inexpensive recipes along with various website links to supplements, foods as well as additional information regarding therapy options you can do at home with your child.
